History of the program Athletes For Transparency (AFT):

At the base of this project, Cedric Fleureton and Christophe Bastie, high-level triathletes, were eager to show the greatest number and especially the future generations of athletes that, despite the discredit often thrown by the general public on high-level sport with the near-famous maxim "anyway they are all doped", a success at the highest level was still possible without recourse to a doping substance or method. They were ready to put themselves to all tests and to publish the results to all displaying the greatest possible transparency in their practice. In parallel, Pierre Sallet physiologist operating in the sphere of research and evaluation in the high-level sport also worked in recent years on the possible use of indirect methods for the anti-doping. A concept was born in mid-2004 for proposing to athletes wishing to display their transparency to undergo some analyses and publish all the results via the internet and an independent structure .
Le programme AFT était né sur le papier, restait à lui faire prendre forme... The program AFT was born on paper, all that was left was for it to take shape...
