1) In accordance with specifications (June 22, 2008), the common basis of developments in SAMM (Sampling and Analysis Management Module) is now completed. This unique tool will allow to the future users a complete management of all phases necessary to achieve a sampling in the context of the fight against doping (control and / or biological passport) or medical monitoring. The interest of SAMM is multiple in terms of organizational management and cost optimization.
On a progress of the anti-doping, the gain responsiveness offered by SAMM to the organizations makes random checks now inoperative circumventionof the procedures location, for an athlete trying to take drugs, ; thing up then easy for people initiated.
SAMM's mission is also to meet the specific needs of users through the development of certain components own as management fees missions on the basis of calculations made, editing orders of mission in the desired format…. Thus SAMM provides a common basis while taking into account all the choices and need of users.
2) SAMM was presented recently first to the French National Antidoping Agency (AFLD) (http://www.afld.fr/), which has shown a real interest in this tool and is currently studying options of use. The presentation to other National Anti-Doping Organizations(NADO) and international federations (IFs) is currently underway.
3) If the priority of our work had to turn on SAMM past few months, the program Athletes For Transparency (AFT) is more present than ever. The management module for laboratories is being finalized and will soon resume testing applications via the new procedure put in place (presentation in the laboratory of his choice with a 6-digit number to be forwarded by mail and sms) .
The procedures for accession to the International Athletes volunteers are they fully operational. We take this opportunity to thank again all athletes, sponsored or not, committed since 2004 for the oldest in the program Athletes For Transparency (AFT) and accepting the constraints inherent in this research program led to the initial improvement of anti-doping within the institutional framework through the development of SAMM.
We hope that their involvement model, their choice of practice and the full transparency that they still offer today can still contribute, especially among younger generations, to promote the fact that success at the highest level remains fortunately always possible without doping.
